In early 2010 it was discovered that there was a need to create a comprehensive set of Bylaws for the NTC. It had been decades since the outdated Bylaws had been updated or adjusted for what the NTC had actually become, a national corporation for the mutual benefit of state police associations throughout the country. It was incumbent for us to have an accurate precise document that determines how and why we operate the way we do. These Bylaws were established for the protection of the membership and the protection of the corporation as well. The majority of the Bylaws were drafted by Treasurer William Staviski and NTC Counsel Rich Mulvaney since they had extensive knowledge on the subject having done so for multiple corporations in New York . This knowledge served very useful since the NTC is also incorporated in New York.
