Produced by Modern City Entertainment, "Heroes Behind The Badge" features stories of some of the brave men and women of law enforcement who have put their lives on the line and survived, as well as those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Filmed throughout the U.S., this documentary highlights the lives of four fallen officers and the enormous impact their passing has had on their family members, colleagues, and community. The film also features the stories of three officers who narrowly escaped their assailants.

These living legends share their personal insights about how their near-fatal encounters have affected their lives. This inspiring film will change the way we look at the men and women of law enforcement and highlight the unselfish acts of bravery they carry out each day in the line of duty.

50% of the net proceeds from the film will benefit the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.

Orders will ship late October 2012

National Police Week

National Police Week 2013

May 12-18

In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15th as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week in which May 15th falls, as National Police Week, meaning that National Police Week 2013 will be Sunday, May 13th through Saturday, May 19th.

The Candlelight Vigil is traditionally held on May 13th, regardless of the day of the week on which it falls.

National Peace Officers Memorial Day Service, hosted by the Fraternal Order of Police and the Fraternal Order of Police Auxiliary is always held on May 15th, again, regardless of the day of the week on which it falls.

Law Enforcement Appreciation Events

The Memorial Fund is gearing up for a great slate of "Law Enforcement Appreciation" sports events across the country. These professional sports venues provide us with a great opportunity to generate both revenue and awareness for our museum campaign. We get a percentage of each ticket sold, and the tickets are offered to the law enforcement community (which includes our corporate partners) at a discount.

In order for us to reach the largest prospective audience, I am asking all of you for messaging support. Our organizations combined represent the entire law enforcement community nationwide. If each of us emails the calendar link to our members who reside in the area of each sporting event, we will help accomplish our objectives. Additionally, if each of us posts this link on our organization's websites, this too will help promote these events.

Here is the link: www.LawMemorial.org/Sports.

If bureaucracy prevents you from posting the link on your organization's website, then I urge you to email the link to your chapter/lodge officers across the country for their support. For our corporate board officers, I ask that you support our messaging quest as well. While the events are titled as "Law Enforcement Appreciation Day/Night," anyone can purchase tickets via the information contained in the link.

Please step up and help advance our noble mission by supporting these events. John Shanks worked hard as our point-man setting up these events at professional sports venues. Let's do our part and help with the e-messaging. I thank you in advance for your support.

Respectfully yours,
-Jon
