    Girlfriend of Trooper’s Killer Claims Manipulation The Pittsburgh Post Gazette … PA Apr 27 2011 PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The New Jersey woman who bought the gun used to kill a Pennsylvania State Trooper in 2009 says she was manipulated into purchasing the gun by the man she loved. In a letter to a federal judge, 25-year-old Emily Gross says Daniel Autenrieth persuaded her to put his Easton address on a gun purchase form because she believed they would soon be living together. Nine days later Autenrieth led a high-speed chase that ended in Monroe County with the fatal shooting of Trooper Joshua Miller.

      Legislative Update from Bernard Shaw Maryland Troopers Association Lobbyist 4/8/11 House Bill 70 - Budget Bill Fiscal Year 2012 House Bill 72 - Budget Reconciliation and Financing Act of 2011 On 4/8/11 the Senate and the House concurred with the Conference Committee on both of these bills. The Conference Committee concurred on the following amendments. Healthcare and Prescription Plan For Active and Retired Members the co-pays for prescriptions will be as follows: Generic Drugs: Co-pays go from $5 to $10 Preferred Brand: Co-pays go from $15 to $25 Non-preferred Brand Co-pays go from $25 to $40 For retirees, the out-of-pocket cap will go from $700 to $1500 per year.

    Indiana State Police Commercial Motor Vehicle Division Wins Commercial Vehicle Safety Award for Fourth Year   Indianapolis, IN- On Monday April 11th, 2011 the United States Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, (FMCSA), honored the Indiana State Police with the presentation of the “2011 MCSAP Leadership Award” for safety enforcement during 2010.   This award is in recognition of the State of Indiana achieving the most effective commercial vehicle safety enforcement program in the United States within the large states category.   This is the 4th consecutive year the Indiana State Police has received this top honor.
