Dear Friend, On behalf of the Maryland State Trooper 2 Memorial Committee, I would like to share an important opportunity for Maryland business owners, and individuals. It is the opportunity to thank the first responders who keep Maryland safe, and in particular to thank and honor the two helicopter crew members of Maryland State Trooper 2, and the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department Medical Technician who died serving the Maryland community on September 27th 2008. A memorial is planned for installation in Walker Mill Park, in Prince George’s County near the crash site, with another smaller marker at the actual crash scene.

STATE POLICE ANNOUNCE TROOPER, NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICER AND POLICE COMMUNICATIONS OPERATORS OF THE YEAR (PIKESVILLE, MD) – Maryland State Police Superintendent Colonel William M. Pallozzi presented awards today to two sworn and two civilian employees who were chosen as the outstanding employees of the year for their public safety services during 2014. Trooper First Class Scott Bell, assigned to the McHenry Barrack, is the 2014 Trooper of the Year.

Retired Sergeant Lynn Moberly has learned that the Core Development Group and the Golden Mile Alliance will be holding an event at the old Frederick Barrack on June 25, 2015 at 4:00 PM for local dignitaries, law enforcement, and MSP alumni to gather before the barrack is torn down. There will be drinks (water/soda) and light snacks available. Those attending will also be gathering bricks before the demolition.
