To the Members:
On behalf of the Executive Board of the National Troopers Coalition, we would like to present an offer to all our State members. To every trooper / highway patrol officer who does not currently have and has only wished to have some umbrella Legal Defense coverage to protect themselves from unwanted, unfair, or inappropriate charges being filed against them, we have a great opportunity. Every day, our members find themselves facing criminal, administrative, and civil charges, most of the time as a result of services performed in the line of your duties.
The National Troopers Coalition has partnered with one of the leading Legal Defense teams in the country. For decades, PLEA (The Professional Law Enforcement Association) has represented thousands of members of law enforcement, including state police agencies, sheriff’s departments, and county and municipal officers.
We hope that those States that find themselves unable to provide protections for their members will take advantage of this plan. It is being offered to the individual member and would not incur any cost to your organization. If your state wishes to discuss a group membership which would cover all your members at a greatly reduced cost, Leslie McMahon, Executive Director, is ready and available to discuss the terms.
Below is a listing of the benefits that PLEA offers. More can be found by going to: http://www.plea.net/. For the price of $145.00 per individual per year, the member receives the following:
